The fine print, in plain sight.

Fees are one-time, in US dollars, and due only after the free eligibility check says your entries qualify. The fee buys the preparation of your claim: your entry data turned into a computed, validated, ready-to-upload CAPE CSV, your claim total and interest estimate, the filing walkthrough, and the tracker. You submit the file in your own ACE Secure Data Portal account: under 30 minutes from payment to file for most users who already have one, and a fully guided setup path if you don't. CBP pays the refund by ACH directly to you, typically 60 to 90 days after acceptance, with statutory interest.
